Ok so I actually own the origional Polo Red and Polo Red Intense and have them both as a part of my private collection so I already have a pretty good idea how both fragrances smell. Just recently, I decided to purchase several Polo frgrances from BOD. These included Polo Red, Polo Red Intense, and Ralph Lauren Purple Label. Since I already have the origional Polo Red in my collection I decided to see just how it stacked up against BOD's version. Upon testing both fragrances and trying them out side by side here is what I found. At first I found very hard to find the similarities between the two fragrances. Right off the bat BOD's version of Polo Red seems to be a lot lighter and a lot fresher than the origional. On the flipside, the origional Polo Red is a much more complex scent. And while I do like BOD's version of Polo Red it lacks three major componets of the origional. These are the woodyness, the spicyness, and the fruityness of the origional. In the end, I was able to conclude that while BOD's version of Polo Red lacked the overall complexity of the origional it was still a really good replica of the drydown of the origional fragrance.
